Ordering Process

Contact me, via email, with the following details and information:

1. A full size (i.e. not compressed) digital photograph, or 3-4 photographs from which I can make a selection to work from. The better quality the photograph, the better quality the portrait. See the Photo Tips page.

2. State the size you require. See the Sizes and Prices page. Please be aware, if you choose to go for the smallest size, A4, I can only produce a head and shoulders portrait.

3. Your full address including country of location. This is so I can provide you with postage costs.

4. Your chosen method of payment. (See Payment Options below).

Once I receive your email, I will send a return email back, with details of:

1. How long it will take. Most portraits take 2-3 weeks to complete but there may be a delay if there is a waiting list. This will be stated in my email.

2. Exactly how much the portrait will cost. This will also show how much deposit will be required – usually 50% of the total.

3. Postage costs. See details of postage methods below.

Once you are happy with the times and costs quoted, you will need to send me an email to confirm this, and:

When I have completed the portrait I will email you a scanned copy of it. If you are happy with your portrait, you must pay the balance and postage charge. I will then send you your finished portrait.

Please Note - All portraits are sold unframed, and carefully packaged.

Framing your portrait:

It is worth mentioning here, how to care for your watercolour portrait once it has arrived. Watercolour paintings do not respond well to moisture or humidity, which can cause discolouring to the paper and paint. You therefore need to get your watercolour portrait framed under glass, after first having it mounted in good quality mounting board. The mounting will ensure the glass does not touch the paper. Take your portrait along to a professional picture framer who will have a large selection of differing coloured mounting board and style of frames.

Payment Options: Payment can be made either:

Postage:

For completed portraits sent to addresses within the UK, I use the Royal Mail Special Delivery Next Day Service and the item will need to be signed for.

For completed portraits sent to addresses outside of the UK, I use the Royal Mail International Signed For Service. Delivery times for postage to countries outside of the UK are dependant on the postal service of that country.

Thank you for visiting my site, I look forward to hearing from you.
